Fortnite just launched a brand new season today, but veteran players will always be nostalgic for the past. This was proven especially true with the success of the game’s recent “OG season”. This season was a celebration of early Fortnite content, bring back classic locations and weapons to the game for the first time in years. As a result, the playerbase exploded, doubling in just a few hours after the season’s launch.

According to a recent tweet, the response to that season “far exceeded” Epic’s expectations. As a result, it sounds like they’re planning on bringing it back in some way next year.

This tweet isn’t exactly rock solid confirmation of anything, but it’s pretty clear the developers plan on incorporating more OG content into Fortnite in the future. Whether that comes in the form of another temporary season or a more permanent mode remains to be seen. With no signs of slowing down anytime soon, it sounds like 2024 is already on track to be another huge year for Fortnite.
