Before Mario Party was released, developer Hudson Soft worked on a different N64 party game titled Getter Love: Panda Love Unit. Similar to Mario Party, players moved around a map collecting items in an effort to best up to three opponents or computer players. Unlike Mario Party, the goal of Getter Love was to find love with one of seven eligible bachelorettes before anyone else.

While Getter Love was never officially released outside of Japan, an English fan translation has now been released online. It was translated by Wid with game hacking done by ozidual, and you can click here to find it.

If you’re a big fan of old school party games, or just want to experience a bizarre piece of gaming history, Getter Love: Panda Love Unit may be worth checking out! Who knows, maybe this could start a movement and get a sequel made…
