Tetris 99's Super Mario Bros. Wonder event begins later this week, gameplay trailer out now

A few weeks ago, Nintendo announced that the 38th Tetris Maximum Cup event would be themed after Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Now, we finally have a look at what that theme will entail. You can watch the trailer above to see what the new background, music and tetrominoes will look like for the upcoming event.

The event will run from 11:00 PM PT on December 14th to 10:59 PM PT on December 18th. If you earn 100 event points by playing in the event, you’ll be able to unlock the theme for permanent use.
