Pokémon GO is back with more details about Part 2 of their Winter Holiday event. The event kicks off on Monday, December 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and goes until Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The final leg of our festive celebration—Winter Holiday Part 2—will introduce two new costumed Pokémon—Psyduck wearing holiday attire and Golduck wearing holiday attire. Plus, for the first time, Trainers will also be able to encounter Shiny Vanillite—if they’re lucky! Have a holly-jolly time with winter-themed Postcard Book backgrounds, a smattering of snow on the in-game map, and so much more to make the 2023 holiday season merry and bright!

Winter Holiday Part 2: Monday, December 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time

  • If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!

Event Bonuses

During the Winter Holiday event, Trainers can choose the bonus they want to receive for completing Timed Research—either double XP for catching Pokémon or double Stardust for catching Pokémon.

  • Increased XP and Stardust from opening Gifts.
  • Timed Research: Winter Wishes
  • Trainers will continue to have access to free branching Timed Research. The path you choose will determine which tasks you have for the event and your bonus-based wish: pick between 2× XP for catching Pokémon or 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.

No matter which wish you pick, all Trainers who complete the research will receive items and encounter winter-themed Pokémon.
