Onkyo releasing VR headset inspired by NieR Automata Ver1.1a
2B and 9S in VR?
Japanese electronics company Onkyo has announced that they’re releasing a new VR headset inspired by the NieR Automata Ver1.1a anime series. This is from their line of Prime VR headsets which are designed for use with smartphones.
The design of this new headset takes its cues from a device that 9S wears in the tenth episode of the Nier Automata anime, although it isn’t an exact replica. You’ll be able to pre-order one for yourself beginning tomorrow, December 22nd, 2023. It costs 15,000 yen (about $106 USD), and is scheduled to ship between March and April 2024.
