Developer Sting and publisher Compile Heart have shared that upcoming Touhou spin-off Touhou Spell Carnival will be missing its planned April 18th launch and will now be seeing its release in Japan on June 6th. As an apology gift, pre-orders will include a pack of Touhou-themed playing cards.

This tactical RPG set in the Touhou universe combines the bullet hell gameplay of the mainline Touhou franchise with turn-based tactical fights to create a totally unique battle system. Explore the land of Gensokyo and figure out the mysteries behind the appearance of massive pillars when the game launches in Japan this June. As of now, no worldwide release has been announced. If and when one is confirmed, we’ll be sure to share.
