A movie based on ‘The Sims’ is in the works at Margot Robbie’s production company LuckyChap Enterainment, it’s been announced. Little is known about the film at the moment, but Kate Herron of ‘Loki’ fame is set to direct.

While no ‘The Sims’ titles are available on Switch, the series has seen Nintendo console releases in the past, and its return seems to be more a matter of when than if. Hopefully we see ‘The Sims’ on the Switch, or whatever’s next, before the movie is out.

The first teaser trailer better be:

The trailer opens on a bright sunny day, the Sims are having a pool party while some happy-go-lucky music is playing. But then things take a sinister turn. One of the Sims goes to climb out of the pool. The music begins to slowly fade into something sinister, the sky becomes dark and gloomy. The ladder is gone, but it was just there a minute ago. Panic begins to ensue, Sims crawl over each other to get out, others get pushed underwater on accident in the chaos, the trailer than cuts to the title card "SIMS" with the font being like rusted metal or something edgy and grimdark.

And obviously any and all dialogue is in Simlish.
