Roguelike Felbound coming to Switch in 2025

Felbound is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch, as announced in today’s Next Indie Direct presentation. This is a fantasy roguelike with pixel art graphics from developer Poink Games. It’ll be available on PC in Spring 2025, and sometime later on Nintendo Switch. Exactly how much later, we don’t know, but hopefully Switch owners won’t have to wait too long!

Felbound is an action-focused roguelike top-down game set in a fantasy world. Each game is unique, featuring procedurally generated levels to explore and a vast array of items, weapons, spells, and equipment to discover.

The game takes place in a recently discovered dungeon rumored to contain “unimaginable power.” You play as an adventurer embarking on a journey to explore the dungeon and uncover its treasures. However, you are not alone…

As you delve deeper into the dungeon, you’ll discover new areas to explore, new weapons, and new monsters to test them on. Characters populate your journey—some friendly, some hostile. There’s no escape. Fear it!

Roguelike Adventure!

Felbound is a modern top-down game that incorporates roguelike and role-playing elements such as permanent death, random potions, RPG-style inventory, and a plethora of items, equipment, and upgrades!

Epic Boss Battles!

Between areas, you’ll encounter bosses. Each boss is unique and requires a specific strategy to defeat. Bosses are generally gigantic monsters with health bars that span the entire screen. Good luck!

Engaging Combat!

Often neglected in contemporary roguelike games, Felbound diverges from the simplified combat systems found in other titles of this genre. Instead, it embraces engaging, fluid, and fast-paced battles heightened by a ruthless assortment of spells.

Challenges!

If that’s not enough, Felbound offers a slew of challenges for experienced players. These challenges reward players with new items, weapons, spells, and advantages!
