It’s been nearly a decade since we’ve received a new game in the Pushmo series of puzzle games from developer Intelligent Systems. The game’s third sequel, Stretchmo, was released on the 3DS in 2015, but things have been pretty quiet since then. Nonetheless, Intelligent Systems seems to be keeping the franchise in mind, if a recent update to their web site is anything to go by.

At the bottom of the ‘Games’ section of Intelligent Systems’ site, there are a series of category links relating to series and systems they’ve been involved with. Just recently, followers noticed that a category for the Pushmo series appeared which wasn’t there before. You can see what that looks like in the screenshot below.

Could this be a sign that we’re due for some Pushmo news in the near future? It’s possible that this move was done in preparation for some kind of announcement, but it could also be a simple matter of some web site reorganization. It should be noted that another Intelligent Systems franchise, Advance Wars, does not have its own category link, so it’s not as if they’re merely adding links for everything they’ve ever worked on in the past.

For now, all we can do is speculate. Hopefully, we hear something soon. Stay tuned, Pushmo fans!
