Lots of good gameplay glimpses and detailses
Switch owners were a little disappointed today to learn that the Switch release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will come a little later than the September 1st release date for other consoles. That said, we’re still getting some new juicy looks and details into how the game works. In the above video from Gamespot, Lucy James gives her full report on an exclusive Gollum presentation held by developer Daedalic.
The video includes tidbits such as when the game takes place (during the events of Fellowship of the Ring), Gollum’s stealthy abilities, and which recognizable characters and locations from the Lord of the Rings series might show up. Interestingly, the game will also feature a spin on the ‘morality slider’ often seen in games. Throughout their journey, players will occasionally be asked to side with Gollum or Smeagol, his slightly nicer alter ego. Depending on those choices, various events and characters’ fates could change.
For more details, watch the video above, and stay tuned as we wait to hear more about when exactly we can expect Gollum to hit Nintendo Switch.
