Super Mario Party being developed by Nd Cube


Super Mario Party seems to return the franchise back to the days of more traditional board game play, which is exactly what a majority of fans have wanted for quite some time now. Some may have seen that swing back to old-school gameplay and figured a different company was handling development, but that's not the case. Nd Cube, the team who started working on Mario Party games with the 9th entry, are the ones handling development on Super Mario Party.

The Mario Party series is coming to the Nintendo Switch system with super-charged fun for everyone! The original board game style has been kicked up a notch with deeper strategic elements, like specifc Dice Blocks for each character.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Super Mario Party seeing release in Hong Kong and Taiwan

Two more Switch titles have been confirmed for release in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. Nintendo confirmed both Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Super Mario Party for the regions, with both seeing Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the very first Fire Emblem game to be localized into Chinese. Super Mario Party launches in Hong Kong and Taiwan on October 5th, 2018, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses launches Spring 2019.

Nintendo's banana-rubbing patent becomes an official game in Super Mario Party


...and with that, the banana-rubbing patent has come full circle. Many people noticed that Super Mario Party utilized the ability to place two Switch units together in tabletop mode to play some unique mini-games. This was the confirmation of Nintendo putting to use a patent that showed Switch-like devices being placed by one another on a table to interact. Now today, we see that Super Mario Party actually features the game that was documented in the Switch patent, where you're connecting images of bananas to make a full banana across two screens.

Nintendo grabs trademarks in Japan for Mario Tennis, Mario Party, Paper Mario, Dr. Mario, and Punch-Out!!

Nintendo has once again filed for a series of trademarks in Japan. This time they're snatching up Mario Tennis, Mario Party, Paper Mario, Dr. Mario and Punch-Out!!. The purpose of these trademarks is listed as ‘video game program’ and ‘downloadable video game program’.
