Digital Dragons Conference will take place between May 19th and 21st in Cracow, Poland. Digital Dragons Awards are the oldest and most prestigious awards in the Polish games industry. Their winners are selected through the votes given by the experts appointed to the jury and the entire gamedev community, which has created the list of nominated productions through an open survey. The awards will be presented during a gala on the second day of the leading B2B conference for the games industry, Digital Dragons, which will take place on 19-21 May 2024 at the ICE Congress Centre in Krakow and the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel.

As per tradition, nominations for Digital Dragons Awards were given in several categories, including, for the first time, Best Polish Narrative. Within this category, the best game narrative will be recognized, which consists of, among other factors, the overall scenario, the way it has been created, environmental storytelling, or dialogues.

The results will be announced at the Digital Dragons Awards gala held on 20 May 2024 during the Digital Dragons Conference 2024. The patron of the gala is the Rock and Borys podcast (RCKBRS), which brings together Remigiusz Maciaszek, better known as Rock - one of the most popular Polish YouTubers and streamers, and Borys Nieśpielak - director, documentary filmmaker, photographer and cinema connoisseur. For the first time in the history of the Digital Dragons Awards, the gala will be broadcast live, and it will happen on Remigiusz Maciaszek’s channels (YouTube, Twitch).

Warframe’s next highlightly anticipated Prime form launches soon with Protea Prime Access arriving on all platforms on May 1. Embodying the power of a legendary long-lost society and twisting time to her will, Protea Prime arrives with increased energy, armor, and a Dash Polarity mod slot.

Protea was assigned to be the bodyguard of Parvos Granum, the Founder of the Corpus faction, a conglomerate that pursues wealth in the universe by any means possible. Protea assumes her rightful place as the ultimate protector by exploiting time manipulation abilities against her enemies.

Players can craft Protea Prime in-game by collecting the required Blueprint, Chassis, Systems, and Neuroptics through Void Fissure Missions, or she can be found on the in-game marketplace across all platforms for a limited time.

Protea Prime brings back the power of a forgotten technological society. Protea devises her attacks and defense through borrowed time. Select between Protea’s myriad of devices to toss grenade clusters, fire plasma charges, dispense health and energy pickups, topped all off with the skills to rewind time itself.

Experience new devastating Prime tech weapons to rule the battlefield: the dual daggers Okina Prime and single-handed pistol Velox Prime.

Additional cosmetic items are also included in the Protea Prime marketplace bundles like the Chronorum Helmet, Rhoptron Syandana back piece, as well as the Temporal Prime Ephemera energy aura.

A Dance of Fire and Ice is a strict rhythm game. Keep your focus as you guide two orbiting planets along a winding path without breaking their perfect equilibrium. This title will be making its way to Switch sometime in Fall 2024.

A Dance of Fire and Ice is a simple one-button rhythm game. Press on every beat of the music to move in a line. Every pattern has its own rhythm to it. It can get difficult. This game is purely based on rhythm, so use your ears more than your sight.

Explore the cosmos: Soar through each genre of music in a variety of colorful fantasy landscapes.

Predict every moment: With a track that shows you every rhythm ahead of time, you’ll learn to sight-read levels as they come. No tricks, and nothing is reaction-based.

Play new levels for free: Tackle new songs and new rhythms as we expand the game with free level patches

Calibrate your experience: Manually adjust your calibration on-the-fly, or use our auto-calibration method. The game is precisely timed, and you won’t experience any slow desync over time like you might with other music-based twitch games.

A brand new game has been announced for the Switch from developer WayForward and Atari. Yars Rising is a side scrolling action platformer, and sequel to the classic Atari game Yars’ Revenge. It’s scheduled for release sometime in 2024 on the Nintendo Switch.

From the renowned development studio WayForward Technologies, Inc. (Shantae, River City Girls, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp) comes Yars Rising, a 2D action adventure exploration of one of Atari’s richest, and best known classic titles.

In WayForward’s experienced hands, the Yars franchise becomes an expansive mystery solved through 2D platforming action. Take control of the young hacker Emi Kimura, who is hired by a mysterious patron to infiltrate the shadowy QoTech corporation. Run, jump, sneak, and hack your way through challenges as you slowly unravel a complex secret shrouded in intrigue.

Emi grows in power throughout her adventure, allowing her to retrace her steps and reach previously inaccessible and secret areas. Her evolving hacking skills are critical to solving stimulating minigames that reference the innovative gameplay from the Atari 2600 title Yars’ Revenge.

The deeper into the QoTech facilities Emi ventures, the more expansive the sci-fi mystery becomes. A colorful cast of hacker allies help Emi discover her connection to a distant alien race and unlock powers unlike anything she could have imagined.

Yars Rising celebrates the Yars franchise in WayForward’s distinct style of anime art, humor, retro game mechanics and storytelling virtuosity.

Features:

  • 2D Platforming Action: Emi must jump, blast and sneak her way past waves of robotic and alien enemies. Her latent powers are revealed as the game progresses, granting her wild augments and biohacks that let her reach previously inaccessible areas. A sprawling, interconnected map allows for hours of exploration
  • Sci-Fi Intrigue: A seemingly bottomless mystery takes Emi from drab office buildings into hidden underground labs, and even to the farthest reaches of space as she uncovers the dark truth behind the QoTech corporation and discovers her own personal connection to an alien race.
  • Challenging Retro Minigames: A series of hacking minigames pay homage to the original Yars’ Revenge, which fans love for its top-down, quick twitch gameplay.
  • Stealth Traversal: Emi can’t always shoot or jump her way out of a jam – tense sections of stealth gameplay force her to duck into the shadows to hide from relentless security guards.
  • Classic WayForward Aesthetics: With fantastically rendered 3D environments and an ensemble of captivating characters, the WayForward team brings Emi’s story to life as only they can.
  • Play the OG: Discover the first game in the Yars franchise by playing WayForward’s modern take on the Yars’ Revenge, accessible right from the main menu.

Warframe’s first Warframe addition of the year turns over a new page into our realm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 for all current platforms with fresh enemies, weapons, and mission types, alongside the return of the community-made cosmetic program, TennoGen. Tune into this month’s Devstream on Friday, March 22 on either the PAX or Warframe Twitch channels for more information on the Dante Unbound Update, Warframe: 1999, and everything in between.

As Warframe Dante, the master of reality’s pages, cast Light or Dark Verses to increase allies’ max health or inflict Slash Damage on nearby enemies. Inspired by classic MMO casters, the pattern of abilities used changes the spell combo’s ultimate finishing ability, Final Verse.

Dante was once an academic confidant to the legendary Entrati family, obsessed with the pursuit of knowledge. After an encounter with an artifact only known as The Book, his mind was infected with “wrongtongued words” that led to his disappearance, until now.

Take on the latest and most challenging mission type yet in Deep Archimedea. This is an amalgamation of three different existing mission types that must be played in succession, with no breaks, that changes every week.

Track down the latest enemy addition to the Murmur faction: the Gruzzling. As a greedy space goblin full of loot, it has plenty of tricks up its sleeves to protect the gear hoard it has amassed.

Fresh Incarnon weapon rewards have also been “unbound” alongside these new additions in the form of the melee fist weapon, Ruvox, and the arm-cannon, Onos.

Warframe Inaros, the living sandstorm, has been reworked to use a more engaging passive ability, guaranteed status effect triggers, and overall changes to his base ability kit.

The dev/community collaborative TennoGen program also makes a return with six new cosmetic skin designs for deluxe Warframes, swords, ships, and more.

As announced during today’s DevShorts stream, Warframe’s invisibility appearance will soon be customizable in this update as well.

For more information and patch notes on all of the changes planned for the Dante Unbound Update on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, please visit this link.
