Consider yourself a 3DS game collector? What’s the rarest game in your collection? If it isn’t Barbie Groom and Glam Pups and you’re looking to snag a copy, get ready to pay an extremely pretty penny.

Barbie Groom and Glam Pups saw release throughout Europe and Australia, where it was readily available. Here in North America, the game only saw release in Canada. That makes the North American version of the game quite rare, and rather pricey at that. Redditor Galdius knows this all too well, as they just spent a serious amount of cash securing a North American copy.

The 3DS library of physical games sits at 419 titles, with one more physical release on the way. Galdius needed just Barbie Groom and Glam Pups to complete the current physical release library. Thankfully, Galdius was able to track down a copy for their collection, but they had to cough up $1,600 to secure it. Just a few years back, the title was pulling in around $700 on the aftermarket. In other words, this sucker is only climbing!

Of course, now that word is spreading on this $1,600 purchase, you can bet other North American copies of Barbie Groom and Glam Pups will be even tougher to come by, and that much more expensive.

OMG, I worked on the port of this game. How could it be worth so much money, and why don't I seem to have a copy...
