Super Mario World dev files show cut asset, "Mr. One Character"
Let's get this guy a spin-off!
For all that we know about Super Mario World, there’s still plenty we don’t. In the decades that have passed since Super Mario World launched, we’ve seen all sorts of new information and secrets discovered due to dataminers, leaks and more. That’s exactly how we got to the piece of information above, which shows us a cut character.
We’re not sure of his purpose or the original intention, but Super Mario World once had a little guy named Mr. One Character. This little creature is named as such due to his size, as he fits into just one 8x8 pixel tile.
Is Mr. One Character someone that Nintendo was going to put into Super Mario World with a more official name, or was he just sitting around for testing purposes? We may never know, but now the character can officially become part of Nintendo’s history and lore!
