Check out a behind-the-scenes feature on Ed Sheeran's Pokemon music video collab

A few weeks back, singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran popped up in a Pokémon promo video for the 2022 Pokémon World Championships. After that, we learned that the two teamed up for a special music track called Celestial, which will also make appearance in Pokémon Scarlet/Violet. After the success of the Celestial music video, Pokemon Co. and Ed Sheeran have released a behind-the-scenes feature that shows off how the project came together. The music video is a unique mix of live-action and animation, so filming wasn’t as straightforward as you’d think! Check out the video above to see how everything came together.

For those who don’t know, this isn’t the first time Pokémon Co. and Sheeran have teamed up, as the two previously paired for a special concert in Pokémon GO last year. Sheeran has, on multiple occasions, professed his longtime Pokémon fan status, so it’s clear these tie-ups go beyond the usual transactional agreements.
