Masahiro Sakurai has been uploading game development videos to his YouTube channel for weeks now, and he’s covered a very wide range of topic. These videos have been separated into different categories, and today brings us the very first installment in the Audio series!

Sakurai says that when he’s supervising music composition, he finds himself requesting tempo revisions quite often. According to Sakurai, composers don’t always have a full picture of a game’s progression, so it’s up to people like the director to step in and make sure everyone is on the same page.

The power music has over a gameplay experience is absolutely monumental, so getting the sound and speed right can be the key in elevating a game to the next level!
