Sophstar's physical release set for Dec. 16th, 2022

We learned a few weeks back that Sophstar would be getting a physical release along with the digital option. While the digital release was locked in for Oct. 28th, 2022 awhile back, we didn’t know when the physical would be coming. Today brings us that info, as we now know Sophstar will launch physically on Dec. 16th, 2022 through Red Art Games.

There will be a couple of different physical options available for Sophstar. The standard edition nets you a physical game box, game card and a double-sided poster. There’s also the Arcade Edition, which comes with a different exclusive poster inspired by Japanese arcades. Both options will be sold exclusively through the Red Art Games online store, and you can find them here.

Sophstar is a vertically scrolling Arcade style shmup. It pays hommage to the best games of the genre from the 90s while adding new and exciting features as well as regular game modes for both casual players and hardcore Arcade fans.

Sub-Lieutenant Soph has lived in Galanian for her whole life. She has no recollection of her origins and has no idea of how she developed her teleporting powers. After being sent on a recon mission, all that she thinks she knows about herself is going to change.
