The Super Nintendo’s library is chock-full of timeless RPGs, and that includes some games that never got localized. One of those titles is Terranigma, which certainly deserves a mention in the pantheon of SNES RPGs, and hopefully one day we see it get a remake or localization in some form.

Why are we talking about Terranigma now? Well, the game is celebrating its 27th anniversary, and in honor of that occasion, a special video has been released. This 22-minute features the works of manga artist Kamui Fujiwara and many others who helped create Terranigma, and they all gathered once again to showcase artwork both old and new to remember the game on its anniversary.

Let’s hope something like this builds up buzz for the game in general, and ups the chance of a re-release down the line.

Lately it seems most of these "anniversary" celebrations, especially for when they're dormant IPs, are really just precursors to an announcement of a new entry.

I hope that's the case here too!

I'd be content with a collection including Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma.
