Sonic X animated series getting Blu-ray release

Sonic X is a cartoon series that originally aired back in 2003 and ran to 2005. Throughout that run, 78 episodes were produced, and there’s no doubt some of you have very fond memories of watching the series on Saturday mornings.

If you have fond memories of Sonic X, you’ll be happy to know that a Blu-ray release is on the way back’s going to pack all 78 episodes into one collection. Discotek Media is behind the release, and they’ve announced that a host of tweaks and bonuses for the collection as well. Here’s what you can expect from the package.

  • all 78 episodes, restored as much as possible (still in SD)
  • newly revised subtitles
  • 5.1 audio for episodes that have it
  • ‘Both’ pilots & more

The Sonic X Blu-ray collection will see release sometime in Winter 2023. We’ll bring you a fir release date when one is locked in.

I wonder if they will include the cut content that was removed in the US version and add the things in the Japanese version.
