Square Enix has shared the next wave of info on Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. This time around, we get profiles for Reno and Rude of the Turks, along with Professor Hojo. There’s also a breakdown of gameplay features, including Missions and the Digital Mind Wave system. You can find all of that information collected below. If you’re just interested in new screens, you can find the complete gallery here.

Reno and Rude

  • partners and members of the Turks
  • the Turks are a group within Shinra Electric Power Company’s Public Safety Division
  • Reno (CV: Keiji Fujiwara) is gaudy-looking and arrogant
  • Rude (CV: Taiten Kusunoki) is compassionate, despite being quiet and unapproachable

Professor Hojo (CV: Shigeru Chiba)

  • Professor Hojo heads Shinra’s science department
  • he leads the Jenova Project and is deeply involved with SOLDIER research
  • Hojo often conducts experiments on humans

  • missions will be given to Zack Fair, a member of SOLDIER and the game’s protagonist
  • missions come from both the Shinra Company and the townsfolk
  • these missions are separate from the game’s main storyline and will reward players
  • you can get items such as Materia from these missions
  • harder missions offer better rewards

Digital Mind Wave (DMW)

  • functions as the game’s Limit Break system
  • slot wheels will spin automatically during battle
  • if they stop on a match, Zack can receive buffs and perform Limit Break attacks
  • DMW can also enter Summon and Chocobo Modes
  • during these modes, the reels’ patterns all become either summons or creatures
  • if all 3 patterns match when the reels stop, the summon/creature shown is called in
  • this summon/creature will unleash a powerful attack
  • if the reels don’t stop on matching portraits while in Chocobo Mode, it will trigger a Dud
  • a Dud deals damage to Zack and inflicts him with Stun
