Missions

  • missions will be given to Zack Fair, a member of SOLDIER and the game’s protagonist
  • missions come from both the Shinra Company and the townsfolk
  • these missions are separate from the game’s main storyline and will reward players
  • you can get items such as Materia from these missions
  • harder missions offer better rewards

Digital Mind Wave (DMW)

  • functions as the game’s Limit Break system
  • slot wheels will spin automatically during battle
  • if they stop on a match, Zack can receive buffs and perform Limit Break attacks
  • DMW can also enter Summon and Chocobo Modes
  • during these modes, the reels’ patterns all become either summons or creatures
  • if all 3 patterns match when the reels stop, the summon/creature shown is called in
  • this summon/creature will unleash a powerful attack
  • if the reels don’t stop on matching portraits while in Chocobo Mode, it will trigger a Dud
  • a Dud deals damage to Zack and inflicts him with Stun
