Nintendo fans got to enjoy a double dose of the Zoo Tycoon franchise back when the DS was Nintendo’s main portable. As a matter of fact, Zoo Tycoon DS did so well that a sequel arrived on the same platform a few years later. While Nintendo faithful haven’t seen much of the franchise since, we can all look forward to the game jumping from the digital side of things to physical.

A Kickstarter is live right now to release an official board game adaption of Zoo Tycoon, but the base funding goal has already been hit. That makes the physical adaptation a lock, and there’s still nearly 4 weeks left to knock out some stretch goals for extra content.

In Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game, 2-4 players compete to build the most recognized zoo in the city. In this strategic and deeply thematic board game, each player has the freedom to develop their own zoo with 34 animals species, food booths, zoo shops and many more attractions.

If you’d like to learn more about the project or kick in some bucks to help fund stretch goals, you can find the official campaign here.
