Studio Wildcard today confirmed a new launch date for the ARK: Survival Evolved major “overhaul” update on Switch, upcoming release date details for ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition, and released a gameplay trailer for the kid-friendly, Switch exclusive ARK: Dinosaur Discovery.
The upcoming major free update for ARK: Survival Evolved on Switch will launch worldwide on November 1st, 2022. This “overhaul” update for ARK: Survival Evolved on Switch vastly improves visual quality and performance, drastically reduces loading times, adds numerous QoL features like a virtual cursor for improved inventory management, and much more.
ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition for Switch will launch on November 1st, 2022 in North America and November 8th, 2022 in Europe. This definitive ARK collection will include all ARK expansion packs, launching first with Scorched Earth (also launching November 1 in North America and November 8 in Europe); Aberration, Extinction and Genesis Parts 1 & 2 will be released in order.
Finally, ARK: Dinosaur Discovery - the kid-friendly, non-violent adventure exclusive for Switch - will launch worldwide on November 9th, 2022. Featuring simplified controls that can be played on a single Joy-Con, young gamers can learn about the real-life dinosaurs featured in ARK. ARK: Dinosaur Discovery will be a free download for all ARK: Survival Evolved owners on Switch. The game will also be available to purchase separately on the Nintendo eShop for those who do not own ARK: Survival Evolved.
