The Bomberman series first came into existence all the way back in 1983, and it’s still going strong on Switch nearly 40 years later. Bomberman has been a part of Nintendo’s ecosystem for decades now, and that includes some stellar releases back on the Nintendo 64.

Today brings us a little bit of Bomberman history that has never been seen before publicly. One of the original developers/planners for Bomberman has taken to Twitter to share a set of design documents from Bomberman Hero, a title that hit the N64 back in 1998.

As you can see above, we get to see some fantastic Bomberman artwork, alongside some dialog boxes planning out in-game conversations. Along with that, we get an absolutely gorgeous piece of Bomberman art showcasing an in-game location. That piece of art alone makes this entire design doc round-up worth it!
