In a new tweet from Square Enix, the Final Fantasy VII dev team has shared new insight into how Barret’s gun arm works. If you ever wondered about the inner-mechanisms of the gun and Barret’s care routine, you can get those details below.
The gatling gun on Barret’s arm is a reproduction of the real thing, this includes the internal mechanisms and how ammunition is inserted. It’s even motor powered! Additionally, each part of the gatling gun can be separately dismantled. After every mission, Barret makes sure to take care of his weapon and do some home repairs.
