The Pokémon Local Acts initiative installs another "Poké Lid" manhole cover
Beautifying Japan one manhole cover at a time
The Pokémon Local Acts initiative’s goal is to beautify certain areas of Japan, while also attracting tourists to areas. One of the big efforts of the PLA has been replacing manhole covers with covers that spotlight Pokémon, and it’s been a great success so far.
As of today, Japan’s Ishikari sub-prefecture in Hokkaido is the latest location to see a fancy Pokémon-related manhole cover installed. In particular, this one can be found in Tōbetsu City, and it features Alolan Vulpix, Sinistea, and Polteageist.
If you’ve missed out on all the other Pokémon manhole covers that have been installed, you can get a look at every single one via the Pokémon Local Acts website!
