30% of all Switch units sold this fiscal year were 'additional systems'
How many Switch units do you own?
Following yesterday’s Q2 report on Fiscal Year 2023, Nintendo has shared a follow-up Corporate Management Policy Briefing that has shared some interesting tidbits.
In one section of the briefing, Nintendo talks about some of the Switch units that have been sold in this fiscal year. According to Nintendo, 30% of all Switch units sold worldwide in this current fiscal year are considered additional units. This means customers who already have a Switch in their household have picked up another unit, which could be for themselves or someone else in the home.
Following this, Nintendo has said that they’ll continue efforts to put one Switch in every home, but they’d also like to get several in every home, or even one for every person.
