Nintendo's mobile games reach a combined total of 800+ million downloads

Following yesterday’s Q2 report on Fiscal Year 2023, Nintendo has shared a follow-up Corporate Management Policy Briefing that has shared some interesting tidbits.

Wondering how Nintendo’s mobile business is doing? As you can see in the image above, Nintendo has confirmed that the combined total of downloads for their various mobile games has reached over 800 million. This is equivalent to the cumulative unit sales total of all Nintendo hardware launched since the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Nintendo says that spreading the word on their IP with mobile games, especially in countries and regions that their dedicated video game platforms, has been important. Moving forward, Nintendo hopes to turn some of those newly-familiarized fans into Nintendo hardware/software purchasers.
