Switch compared to PS5/XSX in terms of power consumption

In the past, we’ve seen some breakdowns of how much power the Switch draws in various states, and that was compared to both the PS4 and Xbox One. Now that a new generation of hardware is available, it’s time to stack the Switch up against the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Eurogamer has gone through the trouble of running a bunch of power consumption tests for all the platforms mentioned above, and then compiled the results into an easy-to-read chart. As you might expect, the Switch draws a lot less power in all situations, but it’s still surprising just how different the numbers are.
While the ‘Off’ and ‘Rest Mode’ options are fairly close to the competition, Switch comes in much, much lower in all other comparisons. If power consumption and cost really matters to you, the Switch is an absolutely no-brainer.
