The official numbers for the videogame industry in the United States have come in, and it was another hot month. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope performed exceptionally well, as did Bayonetta 3. - Total spending: $4.27 billion, flat year-on-year
- Software: $3.7 billion, up 2%
- Hardware: $424 million, down 10%
- Accessories: $148 million, down 8%

- Total spending: $42.7 billion, down 7% year-on-year
- Software: $37.2 billion, down 8%
- Hardware: $3.8 billion, down 2%
- Accessories: $1.7 billion, down 12%

10M agoPersona 5 in particular was dominated by Switch. Third on the Nintendo charts, didn’t even place on the Xbox and PlayStation charts. Nier Automata was too, but that was more obvious since it only rereleased on Switch last month.

10M agoNot Nintendo related but I'm happy to see Star Ocean make the top 20 despite being niche and only released at the end of October.
