Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles hits 2.7 million units sold worldwide

The Demon Slayer franchise is an extremely popular one, and that popularity has extended to the videogame side of things as well.

Aniplex has announced that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles has managed to move 2.7 million units worldwide. We don’t know the exact split between versions, but there’s no doubt the Switch release helped contribute to this figure considerably.

As far as sales totals, here’s what we do know. When Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles launched for Switch on June 9th, 2022, the game had moved ‘well over’ 1 million units on other platforms. On June 27th, 2022, we learned that the game had sold 2.2 million units. That’s a serious boost after just a few weeks on Switch, and you’d have to think the bulk of the additional units sold were in the Switch’s favor.
