Diddy, Dixie and more discovered in the Super Mario Bros. movie
How many cameos did you spot?
Nintendo shared the second trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movie from Illumination today, and it was jam-packed with all sorts of Nintendo Easter eggs. While plenty of familiar faces were front-and-center, the backgrounds of shots hit plenty of cameos as well.
In the video above, you can see a number of different Nintendo favorites, including Diddy and Dixie Kong. We don’t know if these characters will have bigger roles in the film or will just hang out in the background, but either way, it’s nice to see them get some time on the silver screen.
In another video, we have yet more analysis of both the second trailer and the various posters that were released today. Once again, we get a look at characters you no doubt know, including some sneaky references and nods.
It’ll be fun to see who actually makes the cut in the final film, and just how much Nintendo and Illumination will give them to do!
