RUMOR: Super Mario Movie may be avaliable to purchase May 11th

We may have our first idea of when the Super Mario Movie will be available to purchase. According to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Gerstmann, we may be looking at a purchase date of May 11th, 2023. In addition to this new date, Gerstmann also reiterated the 85-minute runtime rumor from a while ago.

It’s important to remember that this is a rumor, and this date may change/be incorrect, so take it with a grain of salt.

Not terribly surprising if true. The window for premium VOD has shortened greatly thanks to COVID. Most kids films are available for purchase a month-ish after release in theaters. Usually for $20 to $30 depending on the studio, and then a few months later it'll become rentable at a lower rate of like $5-$7.
