Massive Switch hardware sales, 150,000 units sold over the week is impressive, especially so for a system that's already sold so much and is coming up on 6 years old.

On the software side, it's not so impressive. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope selling ~18,000 copies is not great, even if they're not into that genre as much in Japan. You'd think the Mario name alone would help sales be better. And Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale!! Let’s Go! Go Rush!! selling less than 7.5K copies shows as usual that if it's not 1st party, the games generally don't sell well. The few exceptions not withstanding.

The only way to explain Mario + Rabbids performing that poorly is maybe people aware of the regular deep discounts Ubisoft promotes [though I'm not sure if it's Ubisoft or Nintendo publishing it in Japan]
