NEOWIZ Announces 8Doors Physical Edition for Switch

NEOWIZ and Red Art Games are thrilled to announce that a limited physical edition of the critically acclaimed 8Doors: Arum’s Afterlife is now available for pre-order. The EU physical edition can be purchased for €34.99 straight from the Red Art Games site. Shipping will begin on December 9th.

The North American physical version of 8Doors is available for pre-order for $34.99, with shipping set to begin on January 13, 2023. This limited-run game version is the perfect holiday gift for the Metroidvania-style 2D action-platformer fan in anyone’s life. 8Doors will also be available at most major retailers including Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart.

8Doors is a story-driven action platformer heavily influenced by Korean folktales. Play as ‘Arum,’ a brave girl that has entered the realm of the afterlife in search of her father’s soul and guide her through the ‘8 Doors of Purgatory’ to solve the mysteries that lie deep within.

As Arum, players will explore eight different areas of purgatory as they work to solve the mystery of what’s happening in purgatory. Arum will fight through thirty species of specters and twelve boss specters. She’ll need to use her combo attacks to land devastating attacks while being mindful of dodging the unique abilities of her enemies. Arum will grow and gain access to new abilities, new passives, and seven powerful weapons along the way.

Arum’s story is inspired by traditional Korean folktales and features beautiful artwork using minimalistic colors to showcase the beauty of the game world. Each character has been lovingly drawn by hand in frame-by-frame animation to make 8Doors a singularly unique experience.
