Fortnite Teams Up with YouTube Icon MrBeast for Competition ft. $1M Prize
Good luck, sweaties!
Today, Fortnite confirmed a partnership with creator, giver and entrepreneur MrBeast – aka the world’s most-subscribed individual user on YouTube.
Players can compete in MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge on December 17, 2022 – the player with the highest Score at the end of the challenge will be declared the winner — which means they will earn the prize of one million dollars (USD).
Here’s what you need to know about the MRBEAST EXTREME SURVIVAL CHALLENGE:
● WHAT: Eligible players will avoid hazards, collect coins, and survive extreme challenges to earn as much “Score” as they can in a given time period – the total Score of players’ best five matches (you can play as many matches as you want) will determine their results, with the top global winner taking home $1 million
● WHO: Anyone around the world can play! For all tournament eligibility rules, please check out the Fortnite blog.
● WHEN: Tournament is Saturday, December 17, 12 - 3pm ET. The island goes live on December 13 at 9am ET, so players will have time to practice before the challenge starts on December 17
| ● WHERE: The island will be accessible from the Discover screen, as well as using the island code 7990-6907-8565. Fortnite is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC. Alternatively, with Xbox Cloud Gaming or NVIDIA GeForce NOW, you can play Fortnite through cloud gaming on a multitude of devices (including Android phones, Android tablets, iPhones, iPads, and more). |
MrBeast is also joining the Fortnite Icon Series, joining the likes of LeBron James and Naomi Osaka. Starting December 14 at 7pm ET, players can check out the Fortnite Item Shop for MrBeast Outfits, accessories and the Beast Blastin’ Emote.
