Megaton Musashi X out for Switch in Japan, UFO Robo Grendizer collaboration announced

After a few last-minute delays, Level-5 has finally released Megaton Musashi X for Switch in Japan. This marks the game’s jump from paid to free-to-play, and it includes a major update that adds Season 2 of the story, player-versus-player online battles, new mecha, characters, weapons, and stages.

Along with the game’s free-to-play launch, a special collaboration with UFO Robo Grendizer has been announced. Grendizer from the Go Nagai-authored manga UFO Robo Grendizer will join Megaton Musashi X as a playable robot. This content will launch sometime in 2023 as part of the second Dynamic Production collaboration. Players can already access Getter Robo and Mazinger Z as of today.
