Square Enix selling an Octopath Traveler II battery-powered lantern

Octopath Traveler II doesn’t release until February 24th, 2023, but that hasn’t stopped Square Enix from trotting out some new merch for the game! The first item up for grabs is the Octopath Traveler II oil lantern seen above, which is priced at $37.

In Octopath Traveler II, the oil lantern is equipped automatically to light your way while traveling through dark caves. For the real-life version, Square Enix has swapped out oil for a battery-powered approach. The outside is made of tin, and you’ll find engraved icons for the 8 main jobs of Octopath Traveler II. Finally, you can change the color of the light between white and orange.

This item is available for pre-order on the Square Enix online store in Japan, and it’s set to ship out the same day as the game’s launch, Feb. 24th, 2023.
