Final Fantasy 35th anniversary news: PARCO collab detailed, fan poll results show favorite characters and more

Square Enix is celebrating the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy in a number of different ways, and that means we’ve got a bunch of news to share. Today brings us two more tidbits about the anniversary, and first up is news on another collaboration.

Square Enix is teaming with Japanese department store, PARCO for a special gift campaign in honor of Final Fantasy’s 35th anniversary. This campaign, which features Final Fantasy characters and the PARCO mascot, is set to run from January 2nd to 15th, 2023. A special commemorative notebook will be up for grabs during this period, and it’s first-come-first-served. You don’t get the notebook for free though; you just get the chance to buy it for 10,000 yen (~$73). There will be just 5,000 to go around!

The special gift campaign is actually just the first part of the collaboration between Square Enix and PARCO, as the two will be working together until Spring 2023 on their Final Fantasy efforts. There will be some sort of item fair in March 2023, but details on that won’t be shared until February next year.

Next up, we have the results of a Final Fantasy 35th anniversary poll that was run by Japanese video sharing site NicoNico. The poll asked fans to share their favorite Final Fantasy title, favorite music track, and favorite character. 11,169 people voted in the poll, and you can find the results below!
