Nintendo and Intelligent Systems are back with another look at Fire Emblem Engage, and today gives us new details on Ike, who is voiced by Michihiko Hagi in the Japanese version, and the ‘Emblem of Radiance’ ring, alongside a look at the world map and heavy weapons; check out all the details below (via Perfectly Nintendo).

Ike is the renown leader of a band of mercenaries, whose battle skills are without pair. Ike’s attack power is already top-notch, but it increases even further as he takes damage. His endurance and defense are nothing to sneeze at either. The more the odds are stacked against him, the stronger Ike gets, which means he’s the man you need if you need to attract the attention of enemies!

Emblem of Radiance abilities:

  • Sync Skill: Brave Leader*. Boost defense and magic resistance whenever HP drops below 75%.
  • Engage Weapon: Hammer. Can Smash enemies and deals extra damage to armoured Units.
  • Engage Skill: Immovable*. Lowers damage received by 50% whenever evasion drops to 0. If a Dragon Unit is wearing Ike’s Emblem Ring, damage is lowered by an additional 10%.
  • Engage Attack: Conqueror ・Skies*. Boosts Defense for one turn, allowing the Unit to withstand the enemy’s attack, and automatically triggering a powerful ranged attack during the following turn. Also, Unit gets back some of the damage dealt to enemies as HP. With this powerful attack, you can send the Unit to deal with a group of enemies clustered in one spot and annihiliate them all in one fell swoop

*ENG name not confirmed

From the World Map, you can head to your next destination, like the next Story Chapter. From the World Map Menu, you can change the outfits of your Units, return to the Somniel, and more.

Large, heavy weapons, like the Iron Blade or the Great Iron Spear*, can Smash enemies when you attack them. Smashed enemies are pushed back one space on the map. If there’s an obstacle on the way (like another Unit or a wall), your attack will also inflict the Break status! The one downside to that kind of weapon is that it does not allow for follow-up attacks.
