Pokémon X and Y came to the Nintendo 3DS back in 2013, and the titles received extremely high praise from critics and fans alike. To this day, many consider Pokémon X and Y to be among some of the best entries in the entire Pokémon franchise!

Now, roughly 10 years after Pokémon X and Y first launched, Pokémon Co., Game Freak and Nintendo have turned their attention to the games once again. Eagle-eyed fans who keep an eye on trademark activity have noticed that the trio of companies have team once again to renew the trademarks for the Japanese logos tied to Pokémon X and Y.

We don’t know the official reason why these trademarks got re-upped, but it’s most likely due to all three companies not wanting the trademarks to lapse. Of course, there could also be some other reason for the trademark activity, but that’s nothing more than speculation at this point. If we do find out the official reason for this refresh, we’ll be sure to let you know!
