Over on their official YouTube channel, Square Enix Music has been releasing all sorts of musical tributes to Final Fantasy in honor of the franchise’s 35th anniversary. Today brings us yet another fantastic tribute to the series, and the focus is on Final Fantasy IX.

If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy IX, you’re no doubt familiar with Melodies of Life, the vocal theme from the game. That song has gotten a piano arrangement that is arguably more beautiful than the original tune! The original song was created by none other than Nobuo Uematsu, while the arrangement and performance above were handled by Hiroyuki Nakayama.

Remember, you can pick up Final Fantasy IX on the Switch today! The game is priced at $21 and takes up 5 GB.
