Nintendo has announced that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are getting an update in late February 2023. This will bump the game up to Version 1.2.0. You can see a rundown of the patch notes below. More details will be available closer to when the update goes live.

S/V doesn't need a patch to add Home functionality. Home needs a patch to add S/V functionality.
What's most likely being added will be the ability to turn off/on battle animations and set battle styles to shift/set like in previous games.
