Game dev survey shows 35% of respondents have interest in making a Switch game

Every year, the Game Developer Conference release a survey that asks game devs multiple questions. This time around, some of the questions give us insight into how many developers out there are either working on Switch games, or have interest in doing so.

This year’s survey has responses from 2,300 game developers, and those devs had some things to say about Switch. According to responses, 35% of game developers still want to create games for Switch, which compares to 46% for PS5, 64% on PC, and 33% for Xbox. Of the 35% that said they want to develop a Switch game, 18% are currently working on one right now.

Furthermore, 19% of developers stated that the next game they’ll be working on is for Switch. This compares to 57% on PC, 33% on PS5 and 28% on Xbox.
