2022 was a great year for the Pokémon Local Acts initiative, and clearly the organization has a lot more to share in 2023. As of today, 4 more Pokémon-themed manhole covers will be making their way to Japan’s Yamaguchi prefecture very soon!

This organization’s goal is to beautify certain areas of Japan, while also attracting tourists to areas. One of the big efforts of the PLA has been replacing manhole covers with covers that spotlight Pokémon, and it’s been a great success so far.

This time around, covers featuring Empoleon, Wailmer, Chinchou, Qwilfish, Ekans, and Koffing will be installed, and you can see their designs in the image above. You can also catch a quick glimpse of the reveal ceremony below.
