The main attraction at Super Nintendo World is without a doubt Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, but there’s something you might want to check before heading to the park for this experience. Some park-goers have found out the hard way that the ride’s size restrictions have prevented them from going on the ride at all.

According to details shared by the Wall Street Journal, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge doesn’t accommodate riders who have a waistline that measures 40 inches or more. Those who attend the park can actually check to see if they fit on the ride via a test seat outside of Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, so at least you won’t have to wait in line only to find out you can’t fit on the ride.

These restrictions have led to a considerable amount of complaints online, with people saying the size limit isn’t accommodating enough. Jim Seay, president of the ride manufacturer Premier Rides, has commented on the matter with the following:

“Our first priority is always the safety of the guests and the employees. We balance that with a very focused effort to make the rides as accessible as possible.”

So essentially, Mario himself couldn’t ride in his own kart.

I'm like 180 pounds and still wouldn't fit the ride. This is ridiculous. I'd hardly consider myself a large person, I can't imagine how many people will be turned away with a limitation like that.
