Super Mario pizza line launching in Germany next month

As we the Super Mario Bros. animated movie from Nintendo and Illumination draws closer, companies are scrambling to cash in on the hype in any way possible. While that’s resulted in all sorts of toys and merch so far, fans in Germany can look forward to a tasty treat arriving soon.
Freiberger is a company known for producing all kinds of pizzas, and their latest creation is a collaboration with Nintendo. Both a Mario & Luigi and a Wario & Waluigi pizza are in the works, and they’ll officially launch in Germany on February 6th, 2023.
With the Mario & Luigi pizza, you can expect a spicy mixture of chorizo salami and spicy Calabrese-style salami cubes for a “Triple Salami Explosion”. As for Wario & Waluigi, the “Four Cheese Deluxe” combines mozzarella, red cheddar, Emmental and Gorgonzola, topped with Sweet Sprinkles.
Those in Germany looking to snag these pizzas will be able to pick them up at Rewe, Edeka, Aldi Nord and Süd, Globus, Netto and Penny stores.
