It was recently announced that the Nier: Automata Ver1.1a anime was going on hiatus due to Covid 19 setbacks. What’s a Nier: Automata fan to do in the meantime? Why not check out an official 15-minute music video covering the events of the game?
Nier: Automata’s director Yoko Taro has painstakingly put together a puppet show that goes over the entirety of Nier: Automata, and it puts a unique spin on the story. The video is told from the perspective of the game’s antagonists…so obviously, there’s going to be some spoilers here!
The entire video is based on “Antinomy,” which is the ending credits song of Nier: Automata Ver1.1a. The song is both written and performed by the Japanese rock band Amazarashi, and it’s a real treat that’s made even better by this video.
