It Takes Two has been a hit with both fans and critics alike, receiving all sorts of praise and awards since its original launch in 2021. The game eventually made its way over to Switch last year, giving Nintendo fans a chance to see what all the fuss was about.

In an update from developer Hazelight, we’ve learned that It Takes Two has managed to hit 10 million units sold worldwide. That’s an incredible achievement for any game, but especially one that focuses on the struggles of relationships through co-op platforming. Not exactly a combo many would see with mass-market appeal, but the people have spoken!

You can pick up It Takes Two on the Switch eShop right now $55. Remember, you can have a friend join in on the co-op action on a separate Switch with the Friend’s Pass, which is 100% free!

So glad to see this! Such a fun, creative, and unique game and the best co-op I have ever experienced. But I was so worried wouldn’t do well because of how unconventional it was for a game of its production value. Very glad to see it succeed. Hopefully EA learns the right lessons from this.
