Pokémon Scarlet/Violet see fastest start of any title for a Nintendo dedicated platform

Nintendo has just shared their Q3 results for Fiscal Year 2023, and with that comes a major update on the success of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Even though Pokémon Scarlet and Violet had a bumpy launch in terms of technical issues, it’s clear fans were still willing to show up bigtime for these launches.

According to Nintendo, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet saw the fastest start of any title for a Nintendo dedicated video game platform. The games managed to move a combined 18.2 million units worldwide in just 7 weeks!

In total, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have achieved 20.61 units sold worldwide since launch.

I'm happy that a out-of-the-box Pokemon game is doing gamebusters in the sales department. Hope it encourages them to push the envelope and evolve the series even more moving forward! I love when they experiment with new ideas.
