Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse success could pave the way for a new installment
Could this series rise from the grave?
We’re less than a month away from Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse on Switch, as the game is set to arrive on March 9th, 2023. Fans seem eager to jump into this installment and get the crap scared out of them, and if enough people support the game’s arrival, it could help bring about a brand-new installment.
We haven’t seen a new Fatal Frame game in quite some time, but one could be willed into existence if Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse does well enough. Yutaka Fukaya, producer on Fatal Frame, had this to say in an interview with NintendoEverything.
“We can’t make any definite promises here, but if from the release of Mask of the Lunar Eclipse we find that many players are looking forward to more from the series, we may be able to meet that interest. We hope everyone will pick up and enjoy this game and join us in getting everyone excited about the Fatal Frame series!”
If you were on the fence with Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse but care about the Fatal Frame franchise, you might want to lean towards buying this one!
